Citi's Client organization is focused on strengthening how we deliver for clients across the bank. The Client organization, inclusive of firm-wide Marketing, takes a comprehensive view of our client relationships, ensuring that we deliver one Citi in a consistent and disciplined way through a centralized view of our client strategy, segmentation and coverage model.

The Marketing Finance team is tasked with overseeing the budget and enhancing the financial analytics around our on-going marketing investments, across our lines of business including USPB, Wealth and EMBE.  Focus areas include driving enhanced processes, analytical rigor and deepening insights in our Marketing investments.  Additionally, the team provides strategic CFO support to the firm Chief Marketing Officer’s.

We are looking for a highly analytical and dynamic individual to support the team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build various new reporting & analytic infrastructures designed to increase transparency, agility and improve the decision making surrounding our marketing investments.  In order to execute on these critical priorities, this person will partner closely with leaders across Marketing, Analytics, Risk, and Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver both ongoing and ad hoc analysis including investment and spend metrics for quarterly and monthly business reviews.
• Drive process improvement and enhanced financial rigor within our internal marketing investment approval and optimization processes.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Brand and sponsorship investments.
• Lead and develop business cases for new and existing Marketing capabilities investments.
• Syndicate key messages with senior Business leaders to garner key stakeholder engagement.
• Strong consideration to risk and controls.
• Liaise closely with LOB CFO teams to support strategic direction related to Marketing investments, including producing high quality materials to concisely communicate insights.
• Experience providing financial analysis for monthly forecasts, strategic multi-year forecasts, and annual budget.
• Provide continued thought leadership around the evolution of the team and our ability to deliver on our stated objectives.

Qualifications:

• BS (MBA, CFA, etc… a plus) in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 7+ years in finance roles, including significant experience financial planning, business analytics and related finance disciplines.
• Excellent team leadership and partnership skills: ability to work with and influence senior management across multiple levels of the organization.
• Excellent communication skills, including writing and presentation. The ability to understand and articulate complex financial concepts.
• Proven operational and financial leadership with ability to drive results.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking.
• A pro-active self-starter who can continue to push concepts forward with minimal guidance.
• Ability to manage and prioritize effectively and resolve conflicting priorities.
